morrison's pub

roma (italy) - 2011

ph. : luigi filetici

The Morrison’s pub in Rome is one of the main landmarks of the capital for fans of the beer world.

Born 20 years ago, according to the project and the execution of technicians and craftsmen who came specially from Ireland, today the place is known for the variety and quality of the beer proposals, selected among the best in the world, and the possibility to live exciting evenings of music and sports events broadcast by a number of monitors installed in the pub.

A cycle of interventions has recently become necessary to renovate and adapt certain parts of the pub to the current regulatory requirements, in particular entrances and toilets.

All the same the need has pleasantly turned into the opportunity to further characterize these parts of the pub, developing design solutions that however, in the contemporary approach, had to meet the flavors and atmosphere of the pub and of the world which it is inspired .

It’s so that images out of scale and objects recall the famous drink; .a particular cash desk, that at the right time becomes a DJ station, has been specially designed and made always inspired by the beer: in fact, a simple opal pespex cylinder hides a system of LED lines that transmits the flavors and the effervescence of the legendary drink which the pub is dedicated to, in the traditional chromatic RGB range.
