"c'è un prato verde intorno"

Roma - (Italy)  2026

The greenery of the park opposite and the neighbouring villas prompted a young couple with children to choose this flat in Rome’s Appio district as their new home; they immediately appreciated its three balconies and, consequently, the views and the amount of sunlight it enjoys.

The existing layout already largely meets the clients’ requirements, comprising a living area with a separate kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The floor plan is therefore modified only ‘slightly’, simply by adding a small storage/laundry room and opening up certain passageways.

The focus is then primarily on a process of formal refinement, creating a simple, warm and minimalist home, equipped with all the comforts required – particularly in light of today’s needs, which are divided between the demands of remote working and the creation of a healthy environment in which to raise children.

The entrance hall, therefore – an important visual, acoustic and thermal filter for the home – provides access to the guest bathroom and the storage/laundry room, before leading off to the living area on one side and the sleeping area on the opposite side.

Simple, linear furnishings complete the various parts of the house, linked by the beautiful parquet flooring that characterises the entire home, where exotic animals or plants occasionally make a surprise appearance – designs from the wallpaper that Mum chose to adorn certain walls, helping the children to grow up even more in harmony with nature.
